Introduction
A tunic is a longer, usually loosely cut top — longer than a blouse, shorter than a dress. At Andre Tan you'll find tunics in cotton, viscose and linen, short-sleeve, long-sleeve and in modern print variants.
Classic tunics end between thigh and knee and are worn over trousers or leggings. The cut is usually straight or A-shaped, without a defined waist. Semi-sheer tunics in chiffon or voile need a tank underneath. Summer tunics in linen or cotton-elastane are breathable; winter tunics in denser viscose or merino blend insulate. Note the neckline: V-neck elongates, boat neck emphasises shoulders.
Wear a cotton tunic with white embroidery with leggings or skinny jeans and sandals — summer boho look. A viscose tunic with V-neck and long sleeves pairs with slim-fit trousers and loafers — autumn business casual. For holidays, semi-sheer tunics over bikini or tank with shorts or long skirt are ideal. Rule: long tunics pair with fitted bottoms, shorter tunics work with wider bottoms too.
Our tunics are cut with attention to the shoulder line. Length is adjusted across XS–XXL — at L the tunic is longer than at XS, so proportions stay right. Necklines are reinforced with plastic stays so they don't stretch out after washing.
