A sweatshirt without a hood is the middle stage between T-shirt and sweater — comfortable, year-round and today a fashion piece. At Andre Tan you'll find crew-neck sweatshirts, half-zip, in oversize and cropped cuts, in cotton with a brushed interior.
A good sweatshirt weighs 280–420 GSM. The interior is usually brushed — giving warmth without adding bulk. Cuffs and hem ribbing provide elastic fit. On half-zip models, the zip is usually YKK or equivalent quality — it can run to the crew neck or stand collar. The shoulder seam should be flat-stitched so it doesn't press under a blazer.
An oversize sweatshirt with bike shorts or fitted leggings is the relaxed weekend outfit. Daily: regular-fit sweatshirt in grey or beige with high-waist jeans and loafers. It gets modern when you pair a cropped sweatshirt with a midi skirt in satin or denim. Half-zip sweatshirts work well for transitional weather — open they look casual, closed sporty.
Our sweatshirts are made from dense cotton with brushed interior that keeps its structure over many washes. Cuffs are rib-knit with elastane content to preserve elasticity. On cropped models, the hem line is cleanly stitched to prevent stretching.
