A knit jacket is the most practical layering piece — opens and closes fast, warmer than a sweatshirt and lighter than a coat. At Andre Tan you'll find knit jackets with zip, buttons and in open styles, in wool, merino and cotton.
Zip knit jackets are practical and sporty — ideal for active daily wear and as a transitional jacket. Button-front models are more traditional and suit business and relaxed casual. Open knit jackets (no closure) read casual and layer over T-shirts or blouses. On knit style: fine gauge suits layering under blazers, chunky works solo. Cable and rib patterns add texture and make the jacket look hand-knitted.
A dark fine-knit crew-neck zip jacket over a blouse and pencil skirt — office look with comfortable warmth. For travel, a mid-length open merino knit jacket is ideal — folds compactly and works year-round. For casual, a thick chunky cardigan pairs with a T-shirt and jeans. Note: merino barely wrinkles, making it more travel-friendly than cotton knit.
Our knit jackets use anti-pilling treated yarns. Zips on most models are YKK, metal eyelets are rust-resistant. Cuffs are rib-knit to hold shape. Merino models contain 100% merino or merino blends between 30 and 70%.
