Introduction
A skirt creates movement in an outfit — different from trousers. At Andre Tan you'll find women's skirts in mini, midi and maxi lengths, in classic pencil, A-line, pleated and wrap cuts, in wool blend, satin, denim and viscose.
Pencil skirt is fitted, ends typically below the knee and is a business classic. A-line widens toward the hem and flatters almost any figure. Pleated skirts have permanent folds that create movement — they flow softly and feminine. Wrap skirts have a side tie and are the most adjustable in fit. Maxi skirts are usually straight or A-shaped but can have wider silhouettes too. Shorter skirts (mini) end at mid-thigh at minimum.
Office: pencil skirt in wool blend with a blouse and pumps. Daily: midi A-line in denim with a T-shirt and sneakers. Evening: pleated skirt in satin with a tank top and thin strap sandals. Summer: maxi skirt in viscose with a simple tank and leather sandals. Colour rule: neutral skirts combine well; bold patterns (florals, stripes) should be paired with solid tops.
Our skirts have waistband reinforcement that ensures good seating at the waist without cutting in. Wrap skirts have an interior button or velcro in addition to the tie, so the skirt doesn't open. Pencil skirts have a back vent that gives movement room.
