Introduction
A sweater is the warmest layering base — worn alone or under blazer and coat. At Andre Tan you'll find sweaters in crew neck, V-neck, turtleneck and oversize cuts, in wool, cashmere and cotton.
Crew neck is most versatile and works under shirts and blazers. V-neck visually lengthens the neck — pair with blouses whose collar stays visible. Turtleneck insulates most and replaces a scarf. On knit style: fine gauge is smooth and suits business, chunky knit is rustic and casual. Cable knit gives texture and reads handmade. Weight: 200–300 g/m² for transitional, 300–450 g/m² for winter.
Wear a black crew-neck fine-wool sweater with a pencil skirt and loafers for a business look. A white turtleneck under a beige wool coat with straight-leg jeans is a winter baseline. Oversize sweater with high-waist denim and sneakers for a relaxed look. Colour rule: neutrals (grey, beige, black, navy) are most versatile; brights also work but should be balanced with neutral bottoms.
Our sweaters use anti-pilling treated yarns, so they stay fuzz-free longer. Cuff and hem ribbing gives elastic fit. Cashmere-blend models have at least 30% cashmere — pure cashmere sweaters are marked separately.
