Introduction
A women's shirt is the more masculine cousin of the blouse — with a defined collar, front button placket and usually a straight shoulder line. At Andre Tan you'll find classic business shirts, oversize styles and boyfriend shirts in cotton, poplin and linen.
Poplin is a smooth cotton weave with a light sheen — it holds shape and creases less than pure cotton. Oxford cotton has a visible weave texture and is slightly more rustic; it suits casual shirts. Linen is comfortable in summer but creases visibly — that's part of its character. On fits: slim sits close to the body, regular gives room at the waist and chest, oversize extends well beyond the shoulder.
Tuck a classic white shirt into high-waist trousers or a pencil skirt — for the office with closed collar and cuff link, for casual with an open button and rolled sleeves. An oversize shirt is a statement on its own — wear it with leggings or belted as a dress. Boyfriend shirts in thicker cotton pair with jeans and work in summer as a cover-up over a tank top or swimsuit.
Our shirts are made to European standards. Sleeve width and chest circumference are more generous than in most Eastern European brands, which makes for a better fit at larger sizes. Buttonholes are double-stitched, collars contain plastic stays that hold shape.
